In need of some Monday motivation? Then look no further than Ben Conway.
I was very impressed to see this story in the metro of his challenge to climb Ben Nevis in five inch heels.
Having walked up and down the cobbled streets in heels for many years on nights out I know it’s not an easy feat. Just surviving the night without ended up in flat shoes or walking around barefoot feels like an achievement. So I have to take my hat off to Ben for not only wearing them but tackling cross streams and rocky roads in wet conditions all for a good cause.
My favourite quote from the piece was this: "I had looked at using kitten heels, but I thought to myself – if you’re going to go and do it, do it properly and wear the stilettos."
Here at Lucre we believe in the same principles that if you are going to do something, do it right.
Happy Monday everyone!
Climbing Britain’s highest mountain is a massive achievement in its own right. But reaching the top of Ben Nevis while styling out a pair of five-inch stiletto heels for the entire climb is pretty much impossible. Just ask Ben Conway, who made it two thirds of the way up the mountain in Scotland while navigating the tricky conditions in some fabulous high heels.
