Even though we've collectively ruined several towels by trying out the latest trend of charcoal peel-off face masks (FYI, it rarely comes clean off!), there's no denying that charcoal is the avocado of 2016.
Whether it's colouring burger buns or whitening teeth, the striking colour it adds to food and the apparent health and beauty benefits it offers mean charcoal will continue to be an ongoing theme in all things Instagramable for the foreseeable future.
