There is no denying that the Harry Potter series has taken the world by storm, submerging us into a world of wizardry and wonder that has captivated people across the generations.
To us mere muggles, most of what we read in the books or watch on screen is unattainable. Although, with the advancement in hover-board technology, I do hope a daily commute on a broomstick isn't too far off becoming a reality.
However, when it comes to sampling potions, it seems we're in luck. Thanks to a food blogger in Mumbai, we are now privy to the recipe for Felix Felicis - well, at least her interpretation.
With dark rum at its heart, we're already sold. Pass the cauldron and let the charms class begin.
Harry Potter fans have another reason to say cheers. While re-reading Harry Potter and Half-Blood Prince, a food blogger from Mumbai decided to re-create the potion Felix Felicis as a heartwarming cocktail. In Harry Potter and Half-Blood Prince, Harry wins the potion during a class with Professor Slughorn, who describes Felix Felicis as "liquid luck," a rare potion that brings exceedingly good fortune to whoever consumes it. Shirin Mehrotra told Mashable while the book doesn't mention a recipe, she imagined it to be alcoholic because Slughorn describes it as a drink that can cause giddiness, recklessness and dangerous confidence, "if taken in excess."
